Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Anyone who is in quarantine or self isolation (in accordance with government orders or recommendations) should consider a telephone consultation where appropriate. If a video consultation is preferred, this can be organised. Car park consultations are also available. We want everyone to be able to safely access the care they need.

Current testing criteria are if, in the 14 days prior:
• you have had close contact* with a known case, OR have travelled internationally, OR have been a passenger or crew member on a cruise ship, OR travelled interstate, OR are a Health Care worker.

• you have a fever above 38 degrees or history of fever, OR acute respiratory infection (eg shortness of breath, cough, sore throat).

* The definition of 'close contact is:
15 minutes or more of face-to-face contact, OR 2 hours or more in an enclosed space.

If you have a reason that does not fit these criteria, but you feel that you are at high risk, you should visit your local GP for a referral for testing at the Covid Clinic at South Coast District Hospital. Without a referral, you may not be tested. Please ring the Medical Centre if you are unsure (8556 8365)
